It’s been a while since I posted last, but for good reason! Our prayers have been answered and we are so happy to announce that we are expecting!! We have so many loving and supportive people in our life. I was given such cute gifts including the cutest “Preggers” tee, “Mom To Be” cup and a sweet little spot to put ultrasound pics. We are thrilled and excited to be on this journey to being parents. I will be sure to post more often now that I am feeling good and the secret is out.

Tank Top Love ❤️

Every spring I go through my closet and realize that my tank tops are stretched out and faded and my sandals are looking a little worn. I hate to have to buy new ones, but it’s fun to shop the new styles. Poor me, right?

I found these Henley tanks at Old Navy for only $10 plus they always have some sort of promo that makes them less. They have more colors and patterns in the store than online (just FYI). They are soft, stretchy and the buttons just add a little details to my otherwise basic Target tank.

Butter Bronzer, Blush and IT Cosmetics Serum Foundation Review~

Butter Bronzer: Ulta I am obsessed with this Bronzer! The Murumuru butter is soft and smooth on the skin. The Bronzer goes on like velvet and really has great pigment. It blends easily and can be worked in if too much is applied(I go a little crazy sometimes). The smell is amazing, think tropical paradise on your face! I like to use on my neck and chest to get a tan glow. I get compliments on my fragrance but I know it’s this Bronzer. At $15 I can’t think of another product better.

Butter Blush/highlighter: Ulta these items are buy 1 get one 1/2 off right now at Ulta. That is a smokin deal. This “Blush” is more of a highlighter in my opinion. It’s very pretty but not a blush on my skin tone. It has the same amazing smell and butter quality of the bronzer.

Tip: don’t try to use the applicator that comes with these products- I tried them and it was a mess. I stick to a kabuki brush or whatever brush you usually use for bronzer and blush. I use the pretty pink applicator for my setting powder under the eyes. It’s the perfect size and shape for the delicate skin. I just pat into my setting powder and pat onto my concealer to set it all day! It’s so fun to experiment with new tools that weren’t necessarily meant for something but work perfectly. Yay!

IT Cosmetics Serum Foundation/ Confidence in a Compact: Ulta purchased Light-Medium but might buy Medium Tan for summer tan skin. I love the coverage- they claim it’s full coverage but I would say for me it’s more medium-full. It glides on smooth and give the skin a healthy dewy glow. No matte finish here. I tried to use powder to set this and wow! I don’t recommend it. I use this for my natural and youthful makeup days. It’s not heavy but more like a moisturizer/makeup feel. I do recommend waiting to apply bronzer and blush so this has time to dry a little. I usually put this compact on, do my eyes and then finish my face. The spf 50 is awesome for anywhere, but here in the Arizona desert, I always worry about my skin. This is a must try and a repurchase for me.

I hope this review was helpful, if I missed any details or you have any questions, please comment on the blog or my Instagram. I could talk makeup all day.

St. Patrick’s Day~

St. Patrick's Day

Here’s some quick outfit inspiration for a casual and fun St. Paddys day.

Most of the items we might already have. Just have to throw it all on and you are ready for green beer and corned beef & hash.

Pink Jeans~

I am really obsessed with these pink jeans I found on sale at Nordstrom. They are under $50! There are so many styles to choose from in this color and I want them all. The pink is so versatile and weirdly neutral. I can give my white denim a rest this year and work these into the rotation.

Pink Coat Sunday~

This weekend has flown by! I always look forward to Sunday because I love our new church and always feel so happy after I leave.

In other news, Andy came home from a Suns basketball game Friday night and needed help getting his boot off because he sprained his ankle really bad. Sheesh! Workout or sports injury? Nope, him and his brother thought it would be really fun to entertain our niece by Andy standing on a swing while getting pushed really high. I guess he was pushed a little too high because he jumped off and landed wrong on his right foot! His foot was so swollen that I had a lot of trouble yanking the boot off. I can’t imagine how it felt for him, or maybe I can. Each time I’d try to pull it off he’d yell ouch! Not fun. He seems to be doing better each day. Elevating it and ice seem to be the cure all for ankle sprains.

Hope everyone had a blessed weekend.

We attended the most beautiful wedding this past weekend for some dear friends. It was held at a country club in North Scottsdale and the scenery was spectacular. Every detail was perfect and I couldn’t be happier for the couple.

Finding a dress for this event was a chore. No joke! I ordered 12 dresses from multiple stores and nothing fit right, color was bad, looked weird and lots of other reasons. I finally just went to the mall and tried on every dress that I saw. This dress was the winner.

It fit all my criteria for a good dress-

•fit-comfortable and easy to sit and dance in. I don’t want anything that is going to ride up and expose my bits! I also like a little stretch. I’ll be honest, I love a good wedding cake and I need some space for my overeating.

•color- color is so important. I want something that will stand out but not be crazy looking. This wedding was black tie optional so this color in the lace fabric looked a little fancy but still romantic and ladylike. I also knew a lot of girls would wear black and this color would pop in the black dress sea. I was right in my prediction btw.

•can I wear it again?-I try to buy things that I will get a lot of wear out of. This dress could be a great date night dress, other events, Valentine’s Day, or even Christmas. The color and silhouette are very versatile.

I kept all the accessories pretty neutral in nude and gold with the exception of my clutch. This was a gift and it is just so cute and has great colors. I love that it is a conversation piece. I got a lot of questions about it because it is so unique. Charlotte Olympia makes the cutest accessories. So whimsical and totally different than anything I have. This clutch would look great with a maxi dress and wedges for summer. I can’t wait to use it again.

Feel free to ask any questions or share your comments with me. Have a fab week!

Closet staple (little black dress)

We had wedding festivities all weekend for 2 of our closest friends. This LBD was perfect for the welcome/rehearsal party. I wasn’t able to find anything new for the event, so I went to my own closet and was so happy when I remembered I had this dress. I should shop my closet more!

A little black dress comes in handy all year long. This Rebecca Taylor silky wrap dress has gotten some serious wear! I found it on sale at Neiman Marcus a couple years ago and loved how comfortable it was (most important) but also that it had some detail to it but not overdone. I always love a throw it on and go type dress. This one is easy to style and accessorize. I’m linking some of my favorite LBD’s below.

Nordstrom (Under $50) love this dress.
Nordstrom (Under $100) this brand always makes a simple and ladylike shape that would be easy to accessorize.

David Yurman Favorites Round up~

I can never have just 1! I received my first David Yurman cable bracelet a couple years ago as a gift from Andy(my hubbs). It was the larger style with Aquamarine stones Here. I loved it and was hooked. David Yurman offers so many styles and they look so pretty together that I have been collecting them ever since. They look great alone but even better all stacked up. I also really like that David Yurman offers a range of price points and has a range for the age of the client purchasing. I love wearing Yurman, but so does my Mom.

My two recent pieces were a Valentine’s gift from my sweet husband. He knows I love Yurman and that makes gift shopping so easy. They are here and here. I love the pink tourmaline stone in the renaissance style. The gold disc is also very neutral and goes with all of my other pieces.

Here are some of my other picks:

Small cable with gold tipsSmall cable with Lapis tipsTiny cable with gold hook
Drooling over these:

Gold small cable with gorg blue stones– this also comes in a baby pink color that is to die for! Add that to the list also. Yikes! This Morganite with diamonds in the classic style is so pretty but wow, is it expensive! Sheesh! That’s why it’s on this list. For that kind of money, I’ll buy a bag. Who’s with me?
Have a great week everyone!

Neutral Monday~

Starting the week with a neutral and calm look. I love color but sometimes it’s nice to put together all the neutral elements of my closet. When I shop, I always end up with all colorful items or all neutral things. I guess it depends on my mood. Today the mood was chill so this is what I ended up wearing. I always have a pink or red lip if I go all neutral. I hope everyone has a great week. This month has flown by!
